Do Not Let Your Opponents Read Your Poker Face
If you thing by simply hiding your poker face from your opponent you have prevented him from reading you like a book, you are highly mistaken. The fact is that physical tells like your posture, your blinking patterns, etc are not much of a help to your opponent in a live game. Instead your own card strength and your betting patterns can help your opponent to make right decisions that could make him win over you. Physical tells might also help you but only sometimes. There are internet poker tells that are as good as the physical tells. We bring to you some of the online poker tells to watch out for when playing on the Internet
‘The Insta Call’ is when your opponent makes instant calls. This tells you that he has nothing much to think about. You can see this before or after a flop. On the other hand if your opponent takes longer time than the usual to act on his hands it’s called the ‘Delayed Reaction’. This means that he is really in a tough spot or he is genuinely unsure of what his next step should be. But this may not mean that he has a marginal hand. Nothing can be a better sign to prove that your opponent is inexperienced than an unsolicited advice offered by him. A sure sign of tilt is playing the hand right after a bad beat. If a player shows an uncalled hand that went to the flop, it is a sign that he is not a very competent player of poker. It is a big mistake to furnish any kind of information about how you play your hands. Last but not the least there is one more poker tell that you can use. A massive over or under bet of pot in a poker game tells you something about your opponent’s hands.
Every player has certain betting patterns and if you can identify them, it can surely give you an edge over others.
